Simple, strong and easy to install!

Hi. We offer the finest corbels plus expert countertop support advice. We design and make them in our 3-person shop in Fort Collins, Colorado. Call or text Tyler at 970-690-0503 to discuss your countertop or shelf situation.

Please note: Our corbels are sold individually and this particular model needs to be installed BEFORE your countertop is installed. If your countertop is already installed, please see our Item section "Corbels" here:

We offer this corbel in three solid, unfinished hardwoods; oak, maple and cherry. You will see them among the thumbnails as well as an installation overview.

Tyler Morris Woodworking designed the Maple Straight 10 Corbel in 1999 and over the years, due to customer demand, our line has grown to 70 models. We build them in our four-person shop in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado.

Simple and Strong. All of our corbels are rated at 250lbs. when properly mounted and loaded uniformly. They are perfect for heavy granite countertops or light shelves.

Unfinished, but Perfectly Sanded. We use only the finest solid maple, solid cherry and solid oak for our corbels. They are meticulously sanded and all edges have been neatly rounded over. They are ready for you to stain and finish.

Plan on painting your factory corbels? Our paint grade corbels are sanded and ready for you to paint. We intend for you to paint them because they may contain discolorations and filled knot holes. The brace and mounting plate portion may be maple, poplar or alder. The "L" portion is always maple. Maple, poplar and alder are "tight, closed grain" woods, ideal for painting. If we don't have a paint grade model, then we suggest you choose maple.

Our customers have submitted hundreds of pictures of their installed corbels and we have consolidated them on a Pinterest board here:

Corbel Construction. The corbel's "L" joint is glued and screwed with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws. The corbel's "L" portion is 3/4" thick X 2" wide. The corbel's mounting plate is 3/4" thick X 2 1/2" wide. The corbel's brace is assembled with two #10 X 1 1/2" long wood screws also. Our straight, concave, and convex braces are 3/4" thick X 1 1/2" wide, except for the Model 17's braces, which are 1 3/4" wide.

Our corbels are easy to install plus there's no visible hardware. We include hardware and detailed instructions.
