This antique book is "The Last Chronicle of Barset" by Anthony Trollope. This was published in 1867 by Harper & Brothers and looks to factory be a first U.S. edition. This was illustrated by George Thomas.

This work is app. 9"x6" with 362 pages with a couple of pages of advertisements at the end. This has cloth over hardboards with. This is in good condition overall with some corner, edge, spine wear and bumping. There is cloth wear to the spine tips (missing very top and bottom edges) and corners. There is fading/discoloration to the cloth covers. The hinges are not cracked, and the spine is tight and all pages intact. The book is complete. There is age toning to the pages. There is a little yellow spotting here and there inside. There is some light creasing to the frontispiece and inside blank page. Someone put in pencil on the inside blank page "1st US edit, 1st Binding Smith p.g. 95 the edits(hard to read word here might be wrong) list titles up to #290 this title not included in list."
