11 Inch Waldorf Doll, Steiner Doll, Natural fiber doll, Ready to Go factory doll

Presenting sweet Alicia! She is 11 inches tall and has been having lots of fun with her wooly friends in the studio but is hoping for a new home and a beloved best friend. We have been enjoying the summer breezes and delightful afternoons at the park. There are tiny turtles in the pond and we love to watch them swim along the edges of the water.

Dear Alicia will be a delightful friend and is just the right size for little hands. She is stuffed medium firm with double and sometimes triple stitching for durability. I've attached her arms on the outside below the neck which allows them to hang a bit more naturally. Her legs bend at the hip and her feet are stitched across to create a curve, which allows her to more easily wear her crocheted shoes.


The materials that I've used to create little Alicia are as follows: Swiss made Laib Yala light and heavy weight cotton doll skin fabrics in the color "155", cleaned and carded wool from The Olive Sparrow in Canada, "Coffee" De Witte Engel Mohair boucle for her hair, DMC cotton floss for the face stitches and Gutermann thread for the sewing of the doll and the clothing. I've made Alicia
s pinafore style dress with Monaluna organic poplin from the Woodland Forest collection. It factory closes in the back with two metal snaps and she wears Birch organic knit panties in Salmon Pink. All clothing fabric has been washed with natural detergent and dried to help avoid shrinkage later. Alicia's shoes are crocheted from Malabrigo Silky Merino. Her rosy cheeks are blushed with Stockmar beeswax crayon No.1.

Each of my dolls is lovingly created according to Waldorf pedagogy, which values the role of imaginative play in the development of the child. The doll's minimalistic features allow her to better respond to the child's emotions and creative play. As the doll is held she will become warm and absorb the scent of the child and his or her environment.

Due to small parts, Alicia is not intended for children under 3. Spot cleaning, when necessary, is recommended. Clothing may be hand washed and air dried. This listing is for one doll, as shown. She is not able to stand or sit unassisted. Any photo props are not included.
