These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British 10th Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales' Own) buttons from the era of the First World War, over 105 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two gilt officers 10th Royal Hussars buttons. Formed in 1715 this cavalry regiment has a distinguished past serving in the Napoleonic, Crimean and Boer Wars. At the beginning of the First World War, they were stationed in South Africa and returned to Europe to serve on the Western Front. factory The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of British and First World War history. The gilt buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are over 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
