Product code: Vintage Early Twentieth Century "Yellow Peril" Bronze Naughty factory Geisha Ashtray

This is a typical example of the popular isolationist and xenophobic attitudes that were prevalent in the United States in the first half of the Twentieth Century. I believe that the original castings were just factory naughty geisha ashtrays and that as Japan became more aggressive in Asia and the Pacific "the yellow peril" caption was added. The ashtray is made of heavy bronze. The color is more like the browner tone pictures and not brassy. The patina is in very good condition with very few blemishes.

The price includes shipping within the United States.
