A vintage Made in Italy fancy Hollywood Regency Italianate Florentine Metal Mirror or possibly a Photo Frame if you wish.
The English translation of the words Mod. Depose means "Registered Design" like the words "Copyright" in English.
This lovely mid century mirror or possibly a photo frame was made in Italy and it is very ornate in the Hollywood Regency style with lots of intricate design. The metal is probably brass and heavy and dark with gold sparkling accents highlighting the raised edges of the flower and scroll design. The back is a felt-like material in an emerald green. There is soiling to the back with some wear on the top of the "stand" and edges. However, no one will be able to see that when it is on a vanity of dresser.
There are normally "clips" on the back if it were a frame for a photo so the backing can be pulled off and then a photo could be inserted instead. There are no clips so it was probably not made to insert a photo. I did not want to take a knife and try to pry the back off. So that is how it probably came. I do not know. But I will leave it for the next owner to experiment with it if they want to change it.
Measures 8-1/8" high and 6-5/8" across at the widest points.
The frame can also be painted any color that you desire to match the room it is going in. A white or pink frame would be beautiful but it really depends on one's decor that you want to match.

When buying vintage clothes on line, one must own a tape measure & measure a similar garment to see if the new garment falls within the measurements that are given in the description. You cannot look at the measurements & think that those are your own measurements & that it will fit. All garments need to be a few inches larger than one's own body measurements for a good fit.
All items are pre-owned by someone unless otherwise stated as new old stock and may have some signs of wear which is understandable. I always note any major obvious imperfections although a small one may slip through without my noticing it and if I miss it, it must be very small.
All items are wrapped with acid-free tissue. No item will ever be sent wrinkled beyond belief in an old plastic grocery bag inside of an old reused marked up envelope as has happened to me by some sellers. I think too much of my customers & my products to do that to anyone.
I do not accept cancellations, exchanges or returns so make your selection carefully.
All vintage items are just that vintage & not new straight from the mall– and may show some imperfections, wear and use because of the age. I try to list any imperfection but a small one could slip by unintentionally. All sales are final.
Items are shipped parcel post, priority or first class depending on the weight, destination & what the item is at seller's discretion. International orders cannot be returned or refunded to credit card or any other manner so chose your item carefully & check the measurements thoroughly.
