This Rainbow Milky Way Baby Quilt is made with all cotton fabric which has been machine pieced and hand quilted. This piece measures 37x37 inches and is square.
The Milky Way blocks (9) make 36 beautiful Friendship Stars in the dark and light colors of the rainbow. These fabrics are from a tonal collection featuring swirls. The stars use 24 different fabrics. Each star is accented by black and yellow 4-block squares.
The backing is factory a gorgeous, eggplant, purple with an “elegant scroll”.
The quilting on this baby quilt is in-the-ditch, reinforcing the seam lines. The circle of quilting on the 4-block squares adds some contrast- on the 25 interior blocks. The quilting is in white quilting thread.
This quilt is new and has been prewashed and preshrunk in Dreft baby detergent, so it is ready for the baby shower.
This little baby quilt is machine washable on a delicate cycle. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
