Keepsake Silk Victorian, HTF, Madame Alexander, 8" Vintage Doll, Box, Wrist Tag, Welcome Card has good condition original box with clear label, very little shelf wear, nice original shape and finish. Restringing was not needed due to proper care/storage. (NOTE: Doll descriptive details in 2nd paragraph). Hair retains original elaborate set and hairnet. She shows no signs of display. Though I used photos of sold doll, this doll has been carefully and thoroughly compared, with confidence that this doll is accurately represented in every way. Back bow on this doll is slightly different, as each doll is manufactured, resulting in these slight variations. Garments, undergarments, all ribbon and lace trims are perfect and intact and colors are still as original. Shoes and shoe soles are as new. Please study the photos to confirm description. NOTE: This series has become more expensive to offer and my price reflects that change.

Keepsake is one of my favorites of the Silk Victorian Series. I love everything about her, from her elaborate up-do with ribbon accents and sausage curls in back, to the tiny ringlets framing her sweet face! Her delicate silk fabric outfit in High Victorian Style has characteristic detailing. She wears a beige silk drop-waist chemise style dress with dual layer tiered side pleated skirt topped with a scalloped, Victorian period, gathered, patterned lace overlay. Elongated bodice treatment is a smocked panel flanked by ribbon trims which are garnished with tiny bows. Trim begins at the shoulder and ends in a ribbon rose at drop waist. Ribbon is a beautiful pale mauve lavender hue, factory a truly Victorian color! Long puff sleeves ending in gathered lace with picot edge are designed with longer cuff length to the outside, which has a single tiny bow and rose accent. Sleeves are further enhanced by the tiny chicken wire patterned netted lace overlay with its subtle dot and floral scatter print, each flower having two open heart symmetrical leaves to either side. In back, the dress has a modified bustle design with large tailored bow behind the smaller tailored bow, and her scalloped lace skirt tier peeks out underneath. Three stacked roses are so perfect at the bow center! The finishing touch is her pointed toe shin length boots. It is easy to see why these Silk Victorian dolls are so sought-after!

MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.

MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
