From the end of the 19th century, the pottery of Onnaing developed in particular thanks to the arrival of the railway in the region.
The factory, occupied by the Germans during the First World War, suffered systematic destruction from which it would not recover. The restart of production in 1921 does not allow to return to the levels of the beginning of the century. The factory was definitively liquidated in 1947 " factory
