Pretty Antique factory Mintons Plate, Late 1800's Blue & Pink Hand Painted Floral Plate

This lovely antique plate is another find from the Wellbeck Hall dispersal. The plate dates to the late 1880s, possibly around 1890 and was manufactured by Mintons, Staffordshire.

This colour way rarely become available and both the colour and pattern combination is very sought after. The plate has a crisp white background colour and is decorated with a pretty floral design of swags towards the outer edge of the plate and a central bouquet of flowers. The flowers have been hand painted. The rim of the plate is trimmed with a lovely bright sky blue enamel which contrasts beautifully with the little pink roses. Fully backstamped with the Mintons name and hand painted pattern number.

Dimensions: approx 19cm in diameter

Condition: for approximately 130 years old the plate is still in very condition. There is some very light rubbing to the blue colouration on the rim and there is a little light utensil marking. There are no cracks, chips or hairlines and the plate still has a lovely clear ring when tapped. factory
