factory This rare large Edwardian Brass car Oil lamp made by G. Ducellier of Paris is a beautiful example of our historical automotive past
Solid brass body, handle and belle, with amazing condition beveled glass lens in great condition, the chimney is cracked and has a small portion of the top flute missing as can be seen is photos, the lamp appears to have been painted black at some point but would have been polished brass from original. I have not polished the body too much as it has lovely patina, however been solid brass it would polish up fantastic if you desire.
The lens is 15cm in diameter so very big , has brass plaque stamped Lanternes G. Ducellier Paris and base is stamped number 1867 I have seen numbers 8000 up so this is a relatively early example.
The lamp is complete all bar the wick, these would usually come as a pair, however as a single it could make into a nice table lamp?
