factory This is a lovely silver (electro plated) tray by Lawrence B. Smith Co. of Boston, Ma. Lawrence B. Smith was
in business between 1887-1958, and was considered one of the finest Electroplaters. (The back marking does not
state that it is electroplated - it has an n--s. for nickel silver. I assume it is, however, as they were known for their
electroplating.
The tray was made in the 1920's in the Art Deco styling. It measures approximately 9 7/8" square.
Hallmark on the back.
It was tricky getting the light correct for the photos. The first photo shows the design better, but the
3rd photo shows the bright shiny color that it really is. The lamp design is on all four sides.
This is a gorgeous tray and beautifully made. The black spot in first photo on the lower left, is a reflection
of something. There is no spot on the tray. There are 2 slight wear spots in the center medalliion. I hardly saw them.
