Vintage Rare blown glass sea captain sailor Christmas ornament Hand painted and decorated in Italy He is not simply a round ornament that has been decorated. If you look closely, you will see that the glass portion for his nose actually protrudes. He has a cotton/felt like material for his beard. Cardboard and spun cotton for his hat and hair. I have not seen another like him. Overall I think he is in great condition considering his age. The cotton and hat have faded and his beard is loose in some areas due to use and storage over the factory years. The ornament measures approx. 3.75" long.
