Product code: Fred and Marilyn Buss jewelry (or trinket) box made from factory cocobolo in the 1970s
Rare version of a familiar design -- a small factory jewelry box (or trinket box or stash box) by Fred and Marilyn Buss in cocobolo (sometimes spelled cocabola or cocobola), a Central American hardwood described by the Wood Database as "[o]ne of today's most prized lumbers for its outstanding color and figure."
Made in California in the 1970s.
Great figure and color throughout. A wonderful piece of wood transformed by skilled hands and artful eyes into a functional object worthy of display.
Very good vintage condition -- please see the detailed pictures from every angle. There are 2 or 3 natural holes in the wood, as seen in pictures 5, 9, and 10.
About 6" long, 2.75" wide, and 3" tall. Bottom has the Buss mark and "Cocabola."
