A mesmerising hybrid for our line of work, carrying over the imposing cat eye aesthetic from the 50s and updating it with an oval shape and then carrying it forward with futuristic applomb with this phenomenal lustrous gold finish that would inspire the pop art feeling soon to become the next big thing of that era. And yet again these sunglasses still tower above modern repro's trying to capture this essence but they can never succeed.
This has all been executed by the ever reliable Samco company of Italy with luxury mineral glass lenses which we're quick to remind, are now an entirely specialist product in todays market thats exponentially more expensive than plastics in exactly the same way as laminate vs wooden flooring/worktops etc..
