An early copy of 1906 Tricks of The Katzenjammer Kids platinum age comic book factory written by R. Dirks.

This oversize antique comic book features numerous one page comic strip illustrations done in 6 and 9 panel segments.

Each page has a different title, characters and short comical story line sometimes written partly in slang to reveal an accents.

There are numerous characters seen within this comic book from children, old men, sailors, teachers and others.

The color looks nice on the illustrations and each page has a different story line and background setting.

The book measures 15.75" wide by 10" high and has 28 pages.

We note every page has a tear of some kind evident along the bottom edge from past use and reading over the decades. Some tears are short and others are long and larger tears. The first page has one third of a page missing while another page has two thirds of a page missing and a few have various size pieces missing. A few corners of the pages are chipped and missing. The cover has a 1" poke or tear in the center that is mainly seen on the back side.

The binding is tight and the front binding has been reglued.

A nice early well read comic book that displays well.
