1940s Femme Fatal Black Beaded Dress!
This dress is an absolute classic, exactly what a 1940s movie star would wear to play the role of a dangerous woman out to seduce and destroy. The dress is a thick rayon crepe, with a beaded collar and 3/4 length sleeves. The dress is midi length, falling bellow the knee or to the calf. The bodice and skirt drape beautifully, and carefully placed pleats and darts create that amazing structured late 1940s style. The beading is stunning, especially the beaded tassels! The dress also has shoulder pads for that bold 1940s look. And yes it has pockets, plenty of room for hidden weapons!!!! The beadwork is completely intact, no missing beads and the fabric is unfaded and in exellent condition. The dress closes in the front with buttons. The only flaw is that one or two of the fabric buttons are a little worn. As this item is vintage may be other small flaws I missed. The label says “champagne lady”
