Rare Royal Doulton Art Deco tea cup and saucer designed by Robert Allen Studio.

This cup features yellow & white stripes trimmed in black with a small fruit inset on each piece The handle is black and the interior is trimmed in hand painted dots and dashes in yellow and black. A lovely piece.

This piece is marked with the code RA 8122. The letters tell us it was designed by Robert Allen Studios (Robert was a pattern designer for Doulton during this time period) and produced in November of 1912. His designs were only produced in small quantities, all were hand painted and most of his patterns have never been repeated. Please see my website blog for additional information on this designer.

Size: Saucer – 5.25″
Tea Cup – 3.5″w x 1.75″h, not including handle

Condition*: Excellent condition. No chips, staining, cracks or crazing.

I don't usually note rough spots, air bubbles or spots missing glaze that came from the creation of the piece, only defects which happened after purchase.
