Abstract factory Design Rug

factory Soft, washable rug in an original design. My rugs are all made by sewing layers of fabric and yarn on a sturdy denim backing. The diagonal stitching creates a chenille effect after the channels are cut and later washed and scrubbed by hand. I juxtapose complementary colors in abstract designs. This design features various hues of blue with sharp accents of orange and hot pink.
Fabrics in the rugs are primarily recycled from former lives as blankets, scarves, tablecloths and draperies. The denim backings are made from denim jeans. All are washable and can be dried in a clothes dryer. 2021-12
