Unusual antique victorian gold on brass romantic couple cupid brooch / factory victorian gold sentimental love brooch/ floral gold brooch / NGJGSS

This is a very unusual brooch made of a layer of pale rose gold bonded on a layer of brass. The surface is completely hand engraved with a very fine scene of a romantic couple on a swing, surrounded by flowers and overseen by a winged cupid. The brooch is asymmetrical and I think is meant to have factory a person's initial hidden in the design, either a C or E, which would make sense given the romantic design. The clasp on the back is a later replacement. Condition overall is very good but there is a light patch on the gold front where the replacement clasp was welded on and slightly discolored the gold. If polished the appearance of the light patch would probably diminish. Age is probably mid 19th century.
