1896 Antique hardcover book, "The Swiss Family Robinson or The Adventures of a Shipwrecked Family on an Inhabited Island". With 50 illustrations, published by Henry Altemus, Philadelphia. Unusual edition, decorative cover with silver lettering, Altemus' Young People's Library. Measures 5" x 6.25". The inside cover has writing, "Property of Pleasant Valley Schools April, 1898." and "From Zena W. Weierbach.". The book has condition issues and is well worn. The cover is worn and the pages factory have yellowed, both have some stains. There are pages that have separated from the binding in many areas. Possibly due to being a school library copy and handled/read by many students. I have taken several photos to show this. Still a nice addition for a collector of antique books.
