Beautiful vintage MCM Pair African Tribal Ebony Bookends Hand Carved Woman & Man Busts Heavy 8.5". They are hand carved effigies from dark wood that is dense and hard. They have bead earrings, but I cannot tell if they are glass or stone. They have a great aged patina. Paitial unreadable factory sticker under the foot of one. Circa mid 1900s. African. Each Book end is Approx. 8.5 Tall X 3.25” Wide X 5” Deep. Good previously owned vintage condition. Signs of age and use including marks, scratches, stains, small chips and loss of finish, but I did not see any worth noting other than some deterioration of the beads. It appears that the heads were attached to the backs after carving. See the photos.
