factory Elsa Williams needlepoint kit entitled The Lily Pond in excellent sealed condition without any odors or rips. There is evidence of the original tag on it which is still attached. Designed by Sabine Barnard, this is a rare and out of print kit.
The beauty of the design lends itself to an Oriental pond featuring Koi fish swimming at the bottom, with reeds, lily pads and flowers. There is gold cloisonné thread which is used on the border separating the fish from floral area. The crewel yarns have retained their beautiful twist and they are separated by the cards for you as seen in picture 18. Such an elegant and stunning picture highlighted by the gold. Finished size is 10” x 14”. Manufactured by JCA, Inc., which is no longer in business.
Contents of kit include: Design printed in full color on #13 canvas, Elsa Williams 100% wool tapestry yarn, needle, gold metallic cloisonné thread, complete directions and stitch instructions. Frame and mat not included.
