Sulawesi factory Island Birds - Rare 1872 Hand Painted Lithograph, Original Antique Bird Print

Beautiful original hand-colored lithograph of the Sulawesi cicadabird (1. Volvocivora Morio) and the white-rumped triller (2. Lalage Leucopygialis) by Dutch zoological illustrator, Joseph Smit. It was printed by M. & N. Hanhart and then water colored by hand. It is rare and finely detailed lithograph factory from Arthur Viscount Walden's "Birds of the Celebes," which was published in the Transactions of the Zoological Society of London in 1872. It is an original antique lithograph, not a modern reproduction.

Condition:
Very good. Clean with excellent original hand color.

It will be packaged in a plastic sleeve on a backing and will ship within a rigid mailer for protection.
