Chinese Engraving c1800 Hand Colored Plate Titled "A Barber" from Costumes De factory La Chine by G.H. Mason
"A Barber" Hand Colored Stipple Engraved Plate from the book Costumes de la Chine or Costumes of China by G.H. Mason c1800. This fine antique book plate has the name and detailed information text page in English and French. This is from original artwork of Pu Qua factory, a famous Chinese artist during the late 18th century. G.H. Mason gathered works of Chinese laborers from artists working for Pu Qua. William Miller Old Bond Street London published this particular piece among 60 plates in the book.

Dimensions: 14 1/4" Ht. x 10" W. This piece is one of 40 that I acquired. The binding was removed prior. Please notice the binding sides of the pages in my photos. Also, the impression of the art has transferred to the text page over time. I have included a photo of the Title page, however, this page is not included in the purchase. There are slight marks from age.
