Origin of Rhodochrosite
Its name comes from the Greek "rhodon" which means "pink" and "chroma" which means "color".

It is found in abundance in Argentina, the United States, Peru, Mexico, Bulgaria, China. Rhodochrosite is the official stone of the state of Colorado.
