factory I think old ledgers are fascinating. This one appears to be from 1910 to 1913, and the ledger records the operations of the US Post Office at Andersonburg, Pennsylvania. It appears that Mr. M. C. Garber (?) was the postmaster, and it appears that George L. Kanferson (?) was the PA Inspector from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania who supervised Mr. Garber. The penmanship is also captivating compared to today's computerized quickbooks and software. This ledger has entries on roughly half of the pages, with the back half of the book showing no entries. The outside covers show some wear, especially on the corners and the spine where one would expect the most wear and tear. The binding is secure and the pages are intact and complete, with wear and fading and foxing consistent with its age. The cover and spine are worn. Lots of scribbles and writing on the inside front cover but none on the back pages. The ledger measures about 13 1/2" by 8 1/4" by 1/4" and it is in fair to good condition.
