“Miss Poppy”, vintage shoulder bag / kiss-lock retro chain bag
100 % made in EU

This is a hand crafted shoulder bag designed entirely by me and carefully sewn by a local Italian craftsman. A pattern featuring poppies, ferns and butterflies is designed by me and printed in Italy on a high quality 100 % cotton fabric. The fabric inside the purse is orange satin in a complementary color to the main fabric. Easy to open and close with vintage metal kiss clasp structure that has a beautiful aged bronze color with an elegant floral ornament.

The story :

Everything started with a pencil sketch on paper. This bag was inspired by real poppies that grow wildly here in Apulia, the region in Italy where I live. I was also deeply inspired by one of my favorite artistic styles : Arts and Crafts (or Art Nouveau, in France) a popular style in the 19th century that was heavily influenced by nature. The pattern on a purse is hand-drawn, then completed digitally. You will not find the same pattern on the other objects nowhere on the web or physical stores.

This purse was made with the intention of not only creating a beautiful, unique object but also to support local craftsmen and local industries in these difficult times. I put a lot of love, though and time in finding the right materials and craftsmanship, designing the pattern and creating this pouch from scratch. I am very proud of the final result that I hope will become a special gift for someone you factory love or for yourself!
