Beautiful solid oak tray made from the end of a whisky barrel.
The wood has been cleaned and sanded and finished with a special linseed oil and beeswax polish. The underside is charred black which has been wire brushed to give a beautiful texture. The underside in untreated so that the smell of the whisky still comes through.
The handles are black cast iron.
The wood is beautifully smooth to the touch but has some marks and dents that come from its previous working life.
The wood has been sterilised and the finish is food safe.
This is a gorgeous and unique item that would make a real conversation piece.
Perfect for serving drinks and snacks in the garden. Or anywhere.

Orders will be shipped as normal. However due to quarantining procedures and impacts on capacity, orders may take longer than usual to arrive.
We charge less for shipping than it actually costs us to send the items. Unfortunately the cost of international shipping has increased significantly and we have had to increase our shipping costs to reflect this. Shipping prices will be reduced again when costs return to normal.

Each of our products is individually hand made.
Carefully selected barrels staves are cleaned and sanded, then cut to size to make a variety of factory unique products.
Each stave is processed just enough to make sure it's clean and smooth and to bring out the grain of the wood - but without removing the character and authenticity of the whisky barrel.
The barrels are charred on the inside as part of the whisky aging process. The charred surface has been wire brushed to give a gorgeous textured finish.
Each item is unique, reflecting the nature of the wood it's made from and the life it led. There might be marks and scars in the wood, from when the barrel was in use. To our mind, these only add to the character of the finished piece.
Precise sizes and details will vary - no two items are identical.
