Notable Ware, Antique Chamberstick, Candle Holder, factory Candle Snuffer, Old Sheffield Plate, Silver Plate, Floral Tableware, Vine Leaves, Elegant

On offer is this lovely antique chamberstick. It's in good condition overall, the remaining silver plate shines up well still - notable areas of ware however all over exposing the base copper metal as well as light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age; darkened tarnish in all edging of the raised border; notable dents and ware over the snuffer piece but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with an attractive floral border edge which displays ever so well still.

The snuffer piece is not original - it still fits in to the handle for easy storage however does present a notable 'wobble'.

The sconce is also not original - decorated with a different yet conforming border edge and 'fits' as it should.

Unmarked for a maker, Sheffield produced, circa fourth quarter of the 19th century.

It measures 19cm (7 and 1/2 inches) in outer length including the handle, by 16cm (6 and 1/4 inches) by 63mm in total height to the top of the sconce - 9cm (3 and 1/2 inches) factory to the top of the snuffer. The sconce itself has an inner diameter of 22mm.

A delightful antique which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
