This is an amazing cabochon of Prudent Man agate from the Alder Creek Mining district near Mackay, Idaho. It is from vein number 2. Incredible color with an outstanding scene.
It looks like a beautiful landscape painting. Translucent.

I make all my cabochons by hand in my home studio. Unless otherwise noted all my gems are domed on the front and are flat with a slight bevel on the back for ease of setting. The sides are cut at a slight angle (12.5 degrees off of perpendicular). I polish the front, back and sides of each stone.
