Owner's name with date on front pastedown; endpapers toned; erased pencil price on ffep. Interior is clean and crisp. Features four full-page wood engravings and more than thirty other illustrations by Leighton embellishing the text. 202 pages. Dust jacket has a small chip at tail of spine; spine and top edges are a little toned; not price clipped ($4.00); in an archival mylar sleeve.

Clare Lighton's impressions of Cape Cod, both in word and illustration. Leighton (1898-1989) had already lived at Wellfleet for about a decade and most of the material herein is devoted to this part of the cape, with which she was most familiar, and to the lower and outer cape in general.
