First, the barrel of the pen started in a Dodge Jeep auto manufacturer plant as hundreds of layers of overspray paint collected. This material is quite rare. These 70's Dodge Jeep colors are no longer in production putting it on the rarer side of pen components. The material is the cast in a beautiful blue resin to help stabilize and protect it. After the piece is cut to size, it is shaped on the lathe. Due to the material makeup (layers of paint), it is difficult to work with without it chipping and coming apart. A lot of the shaping has to factory be done by hand sanding. Once the shape is final, it is meticulously sanded, finished, and polished to a high gloss shine.

Next, the barrel is fit to the pen components. The finish is gun metal and chrome and the cap is postable.
