Like new Nighthawk M1 works with GSM services but heard T-Mobile is blocking some devices from their service so it might not work with T-Mobile. I do not know if it's unlocked or can be. When it comes to any hotspot factory device it's really hit or miss. I'd buy assuming it only works with AT&T or carriers that share their towers.
