”Forgotten, but Not Gone” was created by needle felting artist Christine Devine. It is roughly 12” x 16”.
Having lived in the Midwest my entire life I am familiar with the sight of old, majestic farms. In this picture I tried to capture the feeling of waiting to be useful again these old buildings convey to factory me.
What is Needle felting? It is a process that uses a barbed needles to interlock fibers to form a more condensed material.
At DevineFeltCreations our artwork starts with a 'canvas' in the form of a premade flat sheet of felt. From this blank 'canvas' we then felt using various types of barbed needles to interlock different colors and textures of fibers to create the desired image and effect. For most of our work the main felting fiber is wool but we also use and experiment with the effects of mohair, llama, angora, silk fibers, corn, fire star and bamboo.
All DevineFeltCreations artwork is shipped unframed so you may display it however you wish to match your décor. On some of our works we have included a few photos showing how a piece could looked if framed. These frames are not real but were virtually created using computer software. We do not offer framing services.
