Vintage Hand Carved factory Ironwood Eagle Figurine

This hand carved eagle is carved from ironwood. This is a most difficult wood to carve. The figurine is just over 9 1/2" tall. The base is about 4" square. The bird is beautifully finished. The artist attached a paper label to the bottom identifying the type of wood as well as when it was carved. That label is still attached. Living up to the woods name this figurine weighs a factory hefty 2 1/2 pounds.
