This is the second Birdhouse I have built so far of my Church Birdhouse series. This Church reminds me of an old Baptist Church I used to go to way out in the country. The top part of the steeple is hand carved out of a pecan limb out of my own yard, ( We have 7 pecan trees ), The bell is hand carved out of scrap factory wood. The roof is made out of red cedar wood that I picked up while camping in the Uwharrie Mountains here in NC. The walls are made out of wood I took off of our horse stable cause I was out of wood. The floor is made out of plywood. The cross on the doors is engraved in with my dremel tool and then burnt. The steeple itself consists of 6 separate pieces of wood. The shingles are gut out and glued on 1 piece at a time and there are 199 shingles. This birdhouse was built to be used in or out doors and is very functional. The measurements are approximately 7x7x13 Thank you for viewing.
