Cuyahoga factory Valley

Encaustic photograph taken in NE Ohio in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Mounted onto cradled factory board with several layers of encaustic medium (beeswax with damar resin) applied. Each layer is fused with a heat gun or blow torch. Texture is added on the top layer giving it the 3D look and feel.
