Thunderbirds Are Go!
This is a completely unique and beautiful way to show off one of the wonderful machines that Thunderbird 2 carried around for International Rescue. This is a 3D laser cut illustrating the interior of Pod 4, which carried around the submersible Thunderbird 4. It is created from six separate layers of 1/16" basswood. Each layer represents a different "cross section" of the interior. Laid on top of each other and glued in place the layers combine to create a unique art piece that is flat and yet also has dimensionality to it.
This piece is 100% original, hand drawn in Adobe Illustrator from many reference photos and videos. Every line of every detail was precisely placed and given different laser etch weights to create this beautiful piece of artwork.
PRESENTATION:
You will receive a ready-to-display piece of artwork. The five laser cut layers will be glued and mounted to factory a piece of 1/8" Baltic birch plywood etched with the back wall of the Pod. The plywood is mounted on an engraved maple stand.
