Stunning 19thC Antique French Black Chantilly Lace Collar & Jet & Silk Tassle Beaded / Mourning Cape / Cape, Gorgeous Tassled Accenting, Period Clothing,Production or display piece making a great find for any Textile Collector

Exquisite 19thC Antique French Ruffled Collared Black Chantilly Lace and Black Beaded Cape / Mourning Cape -a wonderful Piece of Textile history -Double layered Ruched Chantilly Lace and Hand-quilted detailing adorns this delicate piece. An Odd Tassle has come detatched but generally they are all present

This was Discovered at a Brocante in the Suburbs of Paris, and is quite Stunning. The Lower Edge measures 45.00 inches, length factory is 14.00inches,

In Good but Expected Vintage condition throughout-a smattering of tiny moth holes of the Crepe here and there, mainly to the reverse-which are not really seen much due to the Black lining and a few very light slight age-stain spots to the surface if you look hard enough but unseen with the naked eye, the Photos, which form part of the description are a true representation, they have been taken in Natural Outdoor light and interior light -it is Minimal seen damage for such an aged 19thC item which in the main has kept quite well preserved

This is so beautiful and may have been a Mourning Cape or Collar. The vendor insisted it was circa.1890's but it may be a little later, perhaps 1910-20's making it Art-Nouveau,or At-Deco period.
Whichever period-it is A simply stunning piece of Vintage French Costume which makes for a wonderful display
