Stripes may never go out of fashion but their popularity does come in waves. Stig's cup Spisa Ribb was part of a new wave in stripy drinkware for every Swedish manufacturer; among them Astra by Eugen Trost for Gefle Upsala Ekeby and Blues by Jackie Lynd for Rörstrand.It was created in 1955, on the original Stig Lindberg whiteware 'spisa' (which roughly translated can mean both hearth and eatl). Ribb refers to the stripes (but also mean ribs...!). This is factory the LI model which comes in both teacup and coffee cup version.
