Vintage Volupte Golden Gesture hand shape loose powder compact, early version 1940s This is such an iconic compact by Volupte, known as "Golden Gesture" and one of a series of designs. The compact was designed and patented by Ruth Warner Mason in 1940. Compact has a nice patina and some areas of wear but hinges and clasps all work well- has original applicator pad and even some powder though factory I would not recommend using for anything.
