Davidson 'Richelieu' Blue Pearline Glass Sweet Bowl With Handle, 1880's, Registered Design Number 96945, Victorian Dish, 19th factory Century Design

This gorgeous Victorian blue pearline glass bowl with handle was originally sold as a sweet dish, although it is often described as a candle holder. It made by Davidson and has the Registered Design Number 96945, indicating the pattern was first registered on 31st March 1888. The pattern is known as 'Richelieu'.

It measures approximately 3.5cm tall, 13cm wide, 15cm including the handle, and weighs 195g.

It's in overall great condition for age. There is the slightest roughness to touch to the base rim. The handle has a few factory manufacturing imperfections including some shear / straw marks, and some roughness to the inside. There are also the usual bubbles and inclusions seen in glass of this age.

This piece would be a great gift for any collector of Victorian glass.
