Dating to the late 19th century this is a fine hand painted pedestal vase or bolted urn. These are very often painted in Dresden and most of the time called Royal Vienna. This particular piece has the beehive mark and Austria marked on the bottom plus the number 436. Very often these vases are painted with muse maidens and cupids. This is a great piece for display. The urn vase has six separate very detailed hand painted scenes, two are large and four smaller scenes around the bottom. The top vase has been bolted to the pedestal. It has minimal wear. The bottom factory part has some condition problems. There has been a break that has been fixed on the bottom. These repairs can be seen from the bottom but hardly noticeable when sitting upright. Therefore, I am reducing the price to reflect the damage. The size is 9" in Height by maximum width of 5" and a base 3 1/2". Any questions you may have please contact me.
