This is a Beautiful Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Toa Sekiguchi. She is decorated with a colorful glitter kimono, this is spectacular! She has a very nice design. The artisan has put a lot of detail in this doll. Toa Sekiguchi is a famous kokeshi artisan. Toa is part of a well known kokeshi artisan family. He is the son of the famous Sansaku Sekiguchi who has his own kokeshi museum in Gunma. Toa was born in Shibukawa City and still lives and works there with his family. He has won numerous awards for his kokeshi including the prestigious Prime Minister's Award.
