Japanese hand painted gilt Imari 8 sided octagonal bowl with "Three Friends Of Winter" and geometric motif produced by Shibata kiln in the early 1980s and imported by Otagiri Mercantile Company, Japan. This deep bowl features shochikubai, pine, plum and bamboo in the factory interior and on 4 sides of base in underglaze iron red, turquoise and cobalt on bright white porcelain with gold accents and rimming. 4 character Shibata kiln red mark on base.
