Astronomical photograph of the North America Nebula (NGC7000), a vast interstellar cloud of ionized hydrogen located 1960 light-years from us. The North America Nebula spans an apparent area about 10 times the size of the full Moon, but its brightness is faint and cannot be seen with the naked eye. This photograph is the result of about 7 and a half hours of narrowband poses (O III, Ha) under the urban sky of my city, and subsequently elaborated with the Hubble palette technique. Specifically, the region photographed is the region of the "Swan Wall", composed of the dark nebula called "Gulf of Mexico" or LDN 935.
