Soholm Denmark - Stoneware Vase-Jug - factory Blue and Brown model number 2118 - Mid-Century Danish Stoneware Vase by Einar Johansen for Søholm

This beautiful jug / vase is made of stoneware and features ceramic glazing in various tones of blue and brown. It was designed by Einar Johansen and was produced in Denmark by Søholm. Søholm was founded in 1835, in Rønne, Bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories in Bornholm, until its closure in 1996. Danish ceramic artist, Einar Johansen was employed at Søholm from 1958 - 1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, and his items are highly sought after today among collectors.

CONDITION: Very fine vintage condition with hardly any signs of use and no damages.
