Instruction Book for Hypnosis, Institute of Applied Hypnology Mid Century Book, factory Quack Medicine Meets Entertainment

Dr. Clark R. Bellows was President of The Institute of Applied factory Hypnology, America's oldest school devoted exclusively to teaching hypnotism and autosuggestion, located in New York City. Dr. Bellows wrote and compiled this book as a practical course in hypnotizing, and he provides templates for letters, diplomas, and other correspondence. He writes: "Once you release the forces of Hypnotic-Power; once you put it to work for you, then you shall experience an unbelievable change in your life. Study this wonderful science: Use it: Develop a strong magnetic personality that none can resist. You cannot fail with my instructions." Wow. I think Dr. Bellows performed under the stage name Dr. Voudini for over 20 years, hypnotizing "thousands" of people, and he assures us that anyone can learn his methods. The book has been self-published from typed pages and other materials, and bound with three removable screws, making it easy to add or replace course modules. The book shows wear, with obvious wear to the covers, some writing and underlining on some of the pages, but it appears complete. It is about 100 pages and is from the 1950s. In fair condition. Rare and highly unusual find.
