The adapters give you the freedom of not being forced to use Samsung speakers. The included wireless speaker module allows you to connect your rear speakers to the surround system wirelessly. The iPod dock is included. Old school, I know, but there are adapters you can buy that are more compatible with current tech. The subwoofer IS INCLUDED! factory The remote control that came with the system when I bought new was junk. It did not have the range and sensitivity that I needed. So I upgraded to an aftermarket remote, which is also included.
